What electrical checks does a holiday let need?
There's no single holiday-let-specific electrical regulation, but in practice insurers and booking platforms commonly expect a valid EICR on the fixed wiring and PAT testing on the appliances you supply. Many owners also fit interlinked smoke and heat alarms as a condition of insurance.
Can you do the EICR and PAT testing in one visit?
Yes — one visit, both records issued together.
Can you work around changeover days?
Yes. Holiday let work is almost always scheduled around bookings. Tell us your changeover pattern and we'll plan around it.
Do hot tubs need anything specific?
A hot tub needs a properly sized, RCD-protected supply of its own, installed and tested for outdoor use. It's a common addition to lets around Cheddar and Wells.
What about EV charging for guests?
Increasingly asked for, and a genuine selling point on listings. It needs a dedicated circuit and an assessment of what your existing supply can take — see our EV charger page.
